Barry Hutt, CEO and founder of Virtual Insight, has over 20 years of experience leading organizations and driving solutions for such prestigious technology companies as IBM, Dell, and VERITAS software. His experience includes various businesses spanning from start-ups to large Fortune 100 companies holding numerous roles such as consulting, business development, sales, software and hardware development. His deep knowledge of enterprise technologies allows him to focus on getting the most out of technology by turning existing IT infrastructure into valuable business assets for his customers.

Barry is a Virtualization expert. Having worked for a startup in the VDI space (VDIworks) he developed a deep knowledge of many of the competitive industry offerings including: VMware View4, Parrells, Quest, Citrix, and Microsoft. He recently attended in-depth VCP certification training for VMware. Accomplishments include closing and implementing one of the largest VDI rollouts in Texas 5300 seats.

A highlight in Barry’s career included his foundation of the Professional Services Organization at Dell Computer where he worked one on one with the office of the chair including Michael Dell, the CEO and Founder of Dell. Barry worked closely with the top leadership team at Dell to launch this new approach to selling hardware – creating consulting firm within a computer hardware provider. His strategies and leadership became a huge success, bringing ~$30M in new revenues within 2 years and grew the business to include 60+ consultants and hundreds of customers.

Barry started his career in technology with IBM spending 16 years in various roles in sales, product strategy and planning, and technical marketing.

Barry received his BS in Computer Science from the State University of New York at New Paltz.
